Bridge Open Work Permit (BOWP)

If you applied for permanent residence in Canada but your work status may expire
before a decision was made on your process, you can apply for a Bridge Open Work
Permit.

 

To be eligible for a BOWP, you must have applied, as the principal applicant, for one of
the permanent residence programs listed below:

• Permanent residence using Express Entry

• Provincial Nominee Program

• Quebec Skilled Workers

• Home Child-Care Provider Pilot

• Home Support Worker Pilot

• Caring for children class or caring for people with high medical needs class

• Agri-Food Pilot
