Citizens from certain visa-required countries may be eligible for an eTA. Visa-exempt
foreign nationals may require an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to fly to or
transition through a Canadian airport. 
 

The eTA is electronically linked to your passport and it is valid for five years or until the
passport expires, whichever comes first. If you already have an eTA, confirm the status
prior to travelling in order to avoid issues at the airport!
