Post Graduate Work Permit
If you are an international student who graduated from a designated learning institution
in Canada and would like to gain work experience after your studies, you might be
eligible for a Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP).
The length of your PGWP depends on the length of your studies. In addition, it is a great
opportunity to qualify for permanent residence in the future.
You have 180 days after graduation to apply. But you must meet some requirements in
order to be eligible, such as:
-
have a valid passport (your PGWP will be issued only for the duration of your passport)
-
have a valid study permit
-
have a degree or diploma, transcript or an official letter from your school
-
your program must have been completed from a designated learning school with the duration of 8 months or more
-
you must have studied full time
