Provincial Nominees

The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is for workers who have the skills, education
and professional experience to address the specific needs and contribute to the
economy of a specific province or territory.

Under this category, you will need to show intent in living and working in the province
you have interest to apply. Each one of them will have a different “stream” (immigration
programs that target certain groups), and some streams are available often, while some
will open once in a while.

You can either apply for a nomination under an Express Entry stream or you can create
an online immigration profile and wait for an invitation to apply from your province of
choice.

Before you can decide on which province to choose, you must learn about what each
one has to offer in terms of infrastructure, industries available, weather and life-style.

Regardless of which province you choose, as a part of the Provincial Nominee Program
(PNP) process, your application will have two stages: the application process at the
provincial level and, upon nomination, the submission at the Federal level. You will also
need to go through a medical exam and get a police clearance (certificate) before your
permanent residence application can be completed.
