Rural and Northen Immigration Pilot
This pilot is a community-driven program, which means only certain communities in
some provinces of Canada offer this opportunity.
This program was created to help the economic growth of smaller communities and
create a path to permanent residence for skilled workers who wish to live and work in
one of those communities.
The participating communities in this program are:

Ontario: North Bay, Sudbury, Timmins, Sault Ste. Marie, Thunder Bay

Manitoba: Brandon, Altona/Rhineland

Saskatchewan: Moose Jaw

Alberta: Claresholm

British Columbia: Vernon, West Kooteney
Each community will have its own requirements, but in general, you will need:

Have work experience or have graduated from a public school

Meet education requirements

Meet language requirements
-
Prove you have enough funds available to support yourself

Intend to live in the community chosen

Have a valid status in Canada
